The Practices

Mindful Movement

Yoga to bring us back into our bodies and ground us into the present. Gentle gestures and postures to liberate the flow of energy, release blockages, and joyfully reconnect with naturally arising wisdom, wellness and vitality. Yoga taught in a way that is comfortable, delicious and adapted. Everything is invitational and participants are encouraged to listen to their body and follow their own pace and cycle.

Women's Wellness Yoga (Yoni Shakti)

Powerful and transformative yoga and tantra practices to connect back to our source of vitality, blood wisdom and intuition. Practices to fully embody our feminine energy, including wombs and breasts. We come together in a supportive sisterhood circle and reconnect to the female experiences of menstruation, motherhood and menopause as our super powers. A revolutionary feminine way of practicing yoga learnt from Uma-Dinsmore-Tuli.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is the antidote to the stress of life in today’s world. It is a zero effort practice of surrendering to all that is. Generally practiced lying down, yoga nidra brings you to a state of deep relaxation, allowing body and mind to restore.

Yoga Nidra helps to disengage from thoughts and emotions and release anxiety and anger. It can also improve sleep, release tension and reverse symptoms of trauma and exhaustion. Yoga Nidra provides comfort and greater wellbeing for people going through health challenges, and for women experiencing PMS, pregnancy and post natal recovery, and perimenopause / menopause.

Sound Healing

Sound healing is a gentle and powerful way to reach places in the body that are otherwise impossible to get to. Tibetan singing bowls bring immediate relaxation to body and mind, helping to disengage from thoughts and come into the present moment.

The vibration produced by singing bowls reaches deep levels of our mind and our brain and all the cells in our body. This creates a sense of awareness with deep relaxation. Sound healing can help release tension and reduce the hold of stress, pain, fatigue, fear and other difficult emotions. Singing bowl vibrations help to bring us to an optimal state for self- healing.

Heart Meditation

Heart opening meditations includes a range of practices such as loving kindness, self-compassion, sending heart energy and awakening joy. These meditations help us connect to our heart, the most powerful healing organ in the body. They focus on developing feelings of goodwill, kindness, and warmth towards others.

Regular practice has shown to reduce anger, depression, sadness, loneliness and anxiety and increase feelings of love, joy, connection, gratitude and hope. These practices help build resilience and empathy and improve relationships as you come back to living from a place of love.

Nature Connection

We belong to nature yet most of us spend our days disconnected from the non human world. Being in nature helps to re-balance, to connect to the bigger picture of life and to come back to our natural state peace and wellness. When yoga nidra and meditation sessions are held outdoors the effect is multiplied. Nature immersion and mindful walking are important components of my retreat offerings. Nature imagery and visualizations are an important part of many of my yoga nidra and meditation sessions, helpful for grounding and connecting to a bigger picture.

About Myriam

Growing up in Singapore, then living in Paris, London, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, I 'returned' to my birth country Switzerland in 2022 after a lifetime abroad. I have learnt - the hard way - how to ground and come home to myself amidst big changes.

With a Master degree in Chinese studies, I spent two decades working with NGOs supporting under-privileged women in London, Hong Kong and China. In 2007 I co-founded the Hong Kong charity Enrich to empower migrant workers.

After becoming a mother in 2009 I struggled with anxiety; I realised that my contributions to a better world were hampered by the stresses and frustrations within me. I embarked on a meditation course and started my own practice.

The deep peace and wellness I found within myself transformed me. I knew that this is what I wanted to share with the world. My daily sitting became a crucial part of my life and I sought to learn, practice and train as much as I could. I began teaching meditative practices in 2016,

Today I live in Thalwil, outside Zurich with my husband (from Taiwan) and teenage son. I am passionate about sharing nourishing, restful and heart opening practices to help humans come back to peace, connection and wellbeing to co-create the world we want to live in.

My  Training

My first formal Meditation Teacher Training was with Keshava in Goa, India in 2016; an experience that left me flying in clouds. I returned to India the following year for a Yoga Nidra Teacher Training. In the summer of 2018 I completed the Total Yoga Nidra Teacher Training in Stroud, England; fully experiencing the transformative power of yoga nidra. Here I discovered the power of music, poetry and sound which I began incorporating in my nidras. I continued my sound healing journey with a teacher training using Tibetan singing bowls in Goa.

Wanting to learn more about therapeutic uses of these practices I studied irest techniques and joined Molly Birkholm's teacher training on the use of yoga and yoga nidra for transforming stress and trauma. Little did I know how crucial these tools would be for 2020.

In 2021 in Hong Kong I was fortunate to train with Mona Choi in  Sound Healing and to complete a Yoga Teacher Training with Sudevi Sundari. In 2022 I moved to Zurich and have embraced opportunities to learn about forest bathing and deep ecology. I completed the transformative Yoni Shakti: Well Woman Yoga Therapy teacher training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli in 2023.

I have been fortunate to strengthen my practice and come back to myself by attending regular residential yoga and meditation retreats since 2009 including Buddhist retreats with Ajahn Brahm, Ken Gelsang Rabten and Vishu, Shivananda yoga retreats and secular Mindfulness and yoga retreats.
